Wholesale FX Treasury for Inter-Branch and B2B Operations
ForexFox handles wholesale currency flows between your exchange office and external banking or institutional partners. Every B2B operation generates a deterministic reference number, atomically updates the relevant till balances, and is stored with full currency and counter metadata for daily reconciliation without manual matching.
Key technical highlights
Deterministic operation numbering: WHO-YYYYMMDD-XXXXX format generated server-side for every treasury exchange.
Atomic balance updates: creating a treasury operation simultaneously credits the bought currency and debits the sold currency on the selected till.
Enriched history: treasury records are joined with till names and currency codes so the response is ready for display without additional queries.
Role enforcement: treasury operations require admin or root — counter operators cannot initiate wholesale flows.
Validation guard: bought and sold currencies must be different — prevents misconfigured same-currency entries.
Pagination: treasury history supports skip/limit for integration with export and reporting workflows.
Deterministic operation references for every wholesale trade
Every treasury exchange in ForexFox receives a server-generated reference in the format WHO-YYYYMMDD-XXXXX. The reference is deterministic — the same operation always maps to the same identifier — which makes it safe to use as a primary key in external accounting, partner confirmations, and audit files. Finance teams no longer need to manually assign reference numbers or maintain a separate numbering register for inter-bank transactions.
Atomic balance impact at booking time
When a treasury exchange is created, the platform simultaneously increases the bought-currency balance and decreases the sold-currency balance on the designated till. This atomicity means there is no window where balances are inconsistent — either the full operation succeeds or nothing changes. The selected till can be any counter or safe, so managers can direct incoming foreign currency directly to the appropriate vault without a secondary transfer step.
Enriched history ready for reconciliation
The treasury history endpoint returns each operation with its till name, bought and sold currency codes, counterparty, negotiated rate, amounts, and the WHO reference — resolved server-side so the consuming system does not need to join additional tables. Finance teams can export this directly into daily reconciliation reports, matching each row against the bank statement using the operation reference and date.
Governance and access control
Treasury operations are restricted to admin and root roles. Counter operators cannot initiate or see wholesale flows, preventing accidental or unauthorized large-volume bookings at the front desk. An input guard rejects operations where bought and sold currencies are identical, catching misconfiguration before it reaches the database. All actions are logged with the initiating user for post-event audit.
